Covid-19 Cases Continue to Rise in Malawi…Now At 65

Ministry of Health has confirmed two more cases of Covid-19 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 65 in Malawi

Minister in the Ministry, Jappie Mhango confirmed the development on Saturday during a press briefing in Mzuzu.

Mhango said the new cases involve a couple from Nkhata-Bay who had returned from Tanzania using a boat across Lake Malawi.

Meanwhile, officials from Ministry of Health are tracing contacts of the two to be tested as well.

As of Saturday May 16, the country has registered a total of 65 cases, with 24 having recovered, 3 losing their lives while 38 still have the virus and are under medical care.
