The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) National Governing Council (NGC) has endorsed Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as the party’s torch bearer for 2025 Presidential elections.
The party endorsed Mutharika during an NGC meeting held on Monday at Nkopola in Mangochi.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mutharika said he was flattered that people still hold him in high regards but was quick to say that he will think about the proposal and inform the nation at his opportune time about his decision.
Meanwhile, the NGC has shifted the elective convention from this July to next year to enable the party effect changes made.
