Two people, a truck driver and passenger traveling in the same car, have died in Mzimba road accident.
Mzimba police spokesperson, Peter Botha says the accidents occurred on Wednesday at Watereka along the Mzuzu – Jenda M1 road.
According to Botha, the driver of the truck which was loaded with timber allegedly failed to negotiate a bend at Watereka and it swerved off the road before it overturned.
The two, who have been identified as Valik Sichela (driver) and the passenger as Stain Kumwenda sustained serious injuries, were pronounced dead upon arrival at Mzimba district hospital.
