Malawians Feeling Pain Of Ailing Economy- Chakwera Admits

CHAKWERA: Malawians are suffering

Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has admitted that Malawians are suffering under his Tonse Alliance administration.

President Reverend Chakwera was speaking on Tuesday at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe. He said Malawians are feeling the pain of an ailing economy.

The Malawian leader, Chakwera claimed that he took over government when the country’s economy was bleeding under the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regime.

Reverend Chakwera then appealed to Malawians to sacrifice more in order to improve the situation.

Meanwhile, Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to provide a clear direction on how his government intends to address the high cost of living in Malawi.

Malawians under President Chakwera’s administration are going through terrible economic hardships as evidenced by continued rise in prices of essential goods such as fuel, cooking oil and water tariffs.

  1. talk, talk, talk and nil action. we must learn to be honest sometimes. how was economy bleeding during dpp’s era when fuel price was going down, commodity prices were stable, 150g beatex was only 150 and now is 400, people were cushioned on coved effects, we had more than 6months forex reserves, we were running the polls on our own without donor support, we graduated from foreign dependent budget to zero aid, etc. its naiive to have someone playing blame game with real government stuff. dpp was experienced and people must stop telling blue lies to clean themselves up. what we are all witnessing is autocracy and sweet talks. a malawi voice how can you block us from accessing this social media ppatform?? could it be network interruptions that has engulffed us of recent? or is it political manauvres to gag our democratic rights?
