DPP to hold its delayed NGC meeting tomorrow

FLASHBACK:DPP Secretary General Jeoffrey conferring with Mutharika

The Democratic Progressive Party ( DPP) has announced that it will hold its National Governing Council ( NGC) meeting tomorrow, July 3, 2023 at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi District.

According to the letter written by party’s Administrative Secretary, Francis Mphepo on behalf of Secretary General Gedelzer Jeffrey, says the party is inviting members of the NGC to attend and that the meeting will be chaired by party’s leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika from 8.30am.

The meeting comes following the lifting of injunction by the Supreme Court which one NGC member, Mathews Malata sought at the High Court in Lilongwe stopping the party from holding it because the list had some “strangers” who were invited to attend and left out bonafide members.
