Madam Director General is in her final year. End of tenure. Everything of her ACB curriculum is characterized with Dramatic Twists and Turns right from her Appointment. Leaving our hearts in the mouth.

Then came the season of Zunneth Sattar revelations. The highly charged list of nameless suspects.

The unfair suspension of SKC and Kapondamgaga.

Then came the sensational Namalomba Audio. It sounded like two lovebirds exchanging secrets in bed.

Then came the season of her early morning arrests enacted by more than 30 Armed Officers. Everyone who should have known didn’t know. Not the President. Not Homeland Security Minister. Not Minister of Justice.

Then came the Commission of Inquiry in which imminent men and women of our society made a fool of themselves and left the stage literally naked as mere caricatures though with greased palms.

What about her criminal case in the High Court. Thank Heavens, Malawi Law Society stood up to her defence.

The final chapter was her Summoning to State House. The DPP, AG, OPC and House Owner heaped pressure on her. The riot act was read in her face. Stop all these investigations. Your job is only to do public lectures on evils of corruption while we are eating.

That’s how she went into hibernation awaiting her End of Contract and gratuity envelope.

ACB will not open its mouth on seemingly rotten East-Bridge fertilizer deal. Madam DG is frozen in her shell. The only strength left is to politically strangle the Vice President. The only victim on the announced list of 81 people linked to Zunneth Sattar.

That’s why I don’t believe that anybody went to Heaven alive. These are religious exaggerations as they try and claim to know God better than all of us.
