Police Wants Chisa Mbele’s Bail Revoked

MBELE A victim of Chakwera’s draconic arrests

Police have applied to the Senior Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe to revoke bail for social media activist Joshua Chisa Mbele in a case which he is being accused of defaming army commander General Vincent Nundwe.

Deputy Police Spokesperson Harry Namwaza says Mbele has been breaching bail conditions hence the application.

Among others, Mbele was ordered not to publish anything which is in conflict with the rights of others such as hate speech.

  1. As long as the state apparatus continues to churn out garbage towards its citizenry, the likes of Chisa Mbele will not stop in their efforts to caution archaic management of the nation, which apparently is his sole property and homestead. There’s no other place he will call home other than the current depleted Malawi whose wellbeing and survivability is questionable because of the carelessness of some misplaced individuals who feel they have the right to bring down the national structures just like that without being checked. If the judiciary is applying the law of the land and not jungle laws then Chisa Mbele will be given his freedom and also be heard just like any other bonafide citizen of the land. Just a reminder to those authorities who might be – We are in a “Democratic” dispensation whereby a couple of freedoms need to be exercised as long as the application follows the instituted legal etiquette.
