Death has been announced of Mzimba (Mbelwa) District Commissioner, Thomas Chirwa who died on Wednesday afternoon at Mwaiwathu Hospital in Blantyre after a long illness.
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development confirmed the development through a statement made available to the publication.
“The Ministry regrets to inform public of the demise of Thomas Chirwa who until his death was District Commissioner for Mzimba (Mbelwa) District Council,” reads the statement in part
According to the Ministry, details of the funeral and burial ceremony for the late Thomas Chirwa will be announced later.
