The newly appointed DPP Northern Regional Governor Reverend Christopher Mzomera Ngwira has stressed on unity among leaders in the North at a meeting held recently in the city.
Reverend Ngwira appreciated the outgoing leadership of RG Sanga and also commended DPP members in the North who survived the violent demonstrations.He cited the need of working hard as positions will be based on performance.
Furthermore, the RG assured the committees of a cordial relationship with him as he is open to constructive criticism but discouraged backbiting.
He vowed to promote the vision of His Excellency Prof Arthur Peter Mutharika by empowering the youth and Women through inclusive approach and rebranding of DPP in the North. Most importantly , the RG acknowledged the importance of Sensitisation of MEC Registration for the people to vote in large numbers.
Speaking on behalf of NGC, National Deputy Director of Women Hon Carol Mfune appreciated the RG for the meeting and urged women to spearhead Corona virus Sensitisation. She added that Women must be empowered through loans for them to nurture their homes. She also encouraged love among leaders.
Gracing the meeting were Director of Women Hon Chikukula, Director of Youth Hon Kelvin Chirambo on top of Regional, District and Constituency Committees in Mzuzu.
