Parliament suspended on Tuesday afternoon after Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) leaders Timothy Mtambo and Gift Trapence walked in the August house.
Deputy leader of the house Martha Chanjo Mhone moved a motion to suspend the house for the business committee to meet as they felt threatened by the HRDC crew.
Recently, Malawi President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika branded HRDC as a ‘terror’ group.
Since May last year, HRDC and opposition political parties have been terrorizing the country with violent protests.
