UTM with SKC will on September 24 hold a public rally at Njamba to celebrate its 5 years existence since the party got registered at the Registrar Office in Blantyre on November 2, 2018.
According to sources within the party, it is reported that the party will have a parade from Registrar’s office to Njamba where President of the Party who is also State Vice President Dr Saulosi Klaus Chilima will address his supporters and the nation.
Chilima’s speech will likely define UTM’s position in the 2025 tripartite polls.
It had to take the High Court in Blantyre to order the Registrar of Political Parties to register UTM into a list of political parties within seven days.
The ruling faulted the Registrar for refusing to register the movement into a political party by using abbreviations.
