“The duty of government is to bring reforms in the systems that are “friendly and conducive to women and youth” and for sure women and youth will deliver the results because they are hard working when it comes to self-empowerment.

“We will continue to pursue policies that promote women’s equal rights so that they participate in development process and national building. It is also vital to strengthen women’s capacity building and increase their social harmony and inclusiveness. And that more attention must be given to elderly, people with disabilities and other vulnerable women groups among others so that “nobody is left behind,” said Chimwendo Banda.

He has also assured the people of Dowa East that he will continue in his quest to transform the area by bringing more developments such as piped water, health facilities, school blocks among others.
