Malawi government through Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife has stopped a show scheduled for Dominic’s in Blantyre on 11th of June 2022 featuring controversial South African dancer Zodwa Wabantu.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife, Dr. Michael Usi, said the ministry penned the organizers not to go ahead with the event as it was deemed not fit for the country.
In an interview with Times 360, one of the organisers of the event, Biggie Lu, said they are in the process of negotiating with the ministry to make them understand that their client would not perform in her controversial dressing style.
Zodwa Wabantu makes waves for the fact that she performs without wearing underwear. She was banned from performing in Zimbabwe due to the nature of her performances. She was deported in Zambia over similar issues.-Source: Times 360
