Malawi President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika says the governing Mighty Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and United Democratic Front (UDF) alliance will win the forth-coming fresh presidential elections.
President Mutharika, who is also UDF-DPP alliance Presidential candidate, was speaking on Thursday after presenting nomination papers to Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) at Mount Soche in Blantyre.
“We are winning the elections and let me repeat we are winning the elections. We are unstoppable, Unmovable and unshakable,” said President Mutharika
The Malawian leader, Professor Mutharika urged Malawians to register and vote for him and his runningmate Atupele Muluzi for development to continue making good strides in the country.
On her remarks, MEC’s Chairperson Justice Dr. Jane Ansah congratulated President Mutharika for submitting the nomination papers.
“I would like to congratulate you for the bold move for coming forward to present nomination papers,” said Dr. Ansah while calling for issue based campaign ahead of the polls.
Malawi will hold fresh presidential elections on 2 July this year following the nullification of May 2019 presidential elections by the court.
