Malawi government has registered a 9th case of the deadly COVID-19, Ministry of Health confirmed.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the new case has been registered in Lilongwe and the patient has other medical conditions.
Meanwhile, government has set a number of measures aimed at fighting the spread of covid-19 which among others include banning of public events such as wedding ceremonies and sports activities.
COVID-19, which is now a global issue, was first discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan City in China and has killed thousands of people including one person in Malawi.
