Defending Champions DD Sunshine from Lilongwe will face Blantyre Zero in the finals of 2019 Presidential Women’s National Championship on Sunday at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre.
To reach the final, Blantyre zero defeated Mzuzu based Moyale Sisters by 4 goals to 1 while DD Sunshine crushed Ntopwa Super Queens with a single goal to nil both games played at Mpira stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.
In a post match interview, DD Sunshine Headcoach, Andrew Aluki Chikhosi described the encounter with Ntopwa Super Queens as a tough one but was quick to applaud his charges for putting on the giraffe fight.
Chikhosi also expressed optimistic that his charges will defend the tittle as they will be facing Blantyre Zero.
“We have played well today and that’s why we are the victors today. We are ready to defend the tittle,” said Chikhosi.
His counterpart, Blantyre Zero Coach Jafali Sanudi said they will work hard to win the tittle saying anything can happen in a game of football.
“We will fight until the last whistle. We will be playing at home so we will have all the advantages,” said Sanudi
Ntopwa Super Queens will play against Moyale Sisters in the third place of the Women’s National Championship.
The Championship winner will get K3 million while the Runners will receive K1 million. The losing semifinalist will get K500,000.00each.
