Deputy minister of Lands, Abida Mia has conceded that funding woes have affected timely completion of ten police houses under construction in Neno district.
The deputy minister said this yesterday in Neno where he toured the construction site where she also disclosed that the funds will be made available in two weeks time for the resumption of constructing works.
She also expressed concern with quality of works saying the cement blocks being used are not of standard and demanded an improvement.
In his response, engineer for Malbro and Palm Construction company, Shamil Littah agreed with the minister on missing datelines saying this was due to financial problems the company was facing adding by March all will be ready.
