Former President and DPP leader His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika today met those who aspire to take over his position in the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
The meeting took place at Nyambadwe in Blantyre and according to the party’s spokesperson Shadrick Namalomba.
The following were in attendance; Bright Msaka, Joseph Mwanamveka, Kondwani Nankhumwa, Dalitso Kabambe, Prophet David Mbewe and Paul Gadama.
Namalomba says the the party will hold a rally soon. “All agreed to work together. No presidential campaigning until convention. All pledged loyalty to APM as party president. Rally to follow to be attended by all aspirants,” says Namalomba.
