President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse Alliance Administration has directed the Police to arrest all minibus touts and ‘enimigodi’ across the country.
Minister if Information, Gospel Kazako, disclosed the development during a press briefing held in Blantyre on Sunday.
According to Kazako, time has come that the country’s citizenry started doing things in an orderly manner and in accordance to the law.
“For instance, there is no law in Malawi that says that in bus depots there should be people in the name of mwinimgodi who should be collecting money from minibuses or bus operators.
This equally goes to call boys. Therefore, if anyone is found doing this, Police will take action,” said Kazako
Ironically, enimigodi are members of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and other parties in the Tonse Alliance administration.
