The Mighty Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary General, Grezelder Jeffrey, has asked people from northern region to vote for President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in the forthcoming fresh presidential election.
Wa Jeffrey made the call at Rumphi Boma during a campaign tour on Friday. She promised that Mighty DPP will continue to implement various development projects in the region including Rumphi district.
“The DPP led government is committed to improving the social economic status of the people in this region and the country at large.
It is only this government that has been fair enough in terms of development distribution. This region has received a lot of projects,” said Jeffrey.
DPP Regional Governor for the North, Christopher Mzomera Ngwira also called on the people in the region to vote for Mutharika.
“People should continue rallying behind Mighty DPP led government. Previous governments gave empty promises. DPP is here to develop this region,” said Ngwira
Taking his turn, Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe hailed the DPP led government for developing the district.
Malawi will hold fresh Presidential elections on July 23 this year following the nullification of May 2019 presidential elections by the court.
