Winning and losing is also about the spirit that gives a party its culture. Parties with a losing spirit never take responsibility for their loss and failure. They always blame the winner of playing tricks, rigging elections, buying MPs, etc…the danger is that the more they refuse to take responsibility for their failures the more the spirit of failure gets entrenched in their party and they become serial failures.
In the interest of its future, MCP must start taking responsibility for its failure because thats the first step into cultivating a winning spirit.
Parties with the winning spirit accept and take responsibility for their loss. For example, even when they badly lose by-elections, they never accuse the winner of rigging, buying votes, etc. They accept defeat, go back to the drawing board and figure out how they failed. They quickly forget the loss, and focus on winning new battles ahead.
Failure energizes parties with winning spirit while it confuses and de-orients parties suffering from chronic failure.
DPP is driven by a wining spirit. Thats why it does not matter the odds against them, they always find a way to win.
It was a heavy week. I wish all our MPs, from across the political divide, a refreshing weekend.
We love you our Honorables.
