Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has denied a development that Shepherd Bushiri has opened a mobile company in South Africa under the name PSB Connect,Malawi Independent has the details.
According to Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA),a mother-body which regulates communication in the Rainbow nation of Southern Africa, they have not issued any license to any individual or company to run a mobile company in South Africa under the name PSB Connect.
However, ICASA has set the record straight by revealing that all they know is that Bushiri has been given some copyright from Cell C , one of the operators in South Africa which has only enabled him to rebrand the Cell C simcards to PSB Connect but all the network infrastructure, licence and shareholding remains to Cell C.
As of today, the only service providers in South Africa are as follows:
Telecom Operator, Cell C (Pty) Ltd, MTN ,Telkom S.A. Ltd , Telkom , Virgin Mobile South Africa and Vodacom (Pty) Ltd.
It is a hoax and a lie for Bushiri to fool his followers that he owns a mobile company when infact its just a PR stunt as the case has been with “BETTER” energy drink which has not been seen anywhere being sold as claimed by his followers.
Bushiri is also on record to have lied that he owns jets, a college and mines when in fact, he has none to his credit.
So far, the function seems to have not been covered by South Africa’ media giants , raising more questions as to why the South Africa media did not cover it when it was supposed to be their pride.
ICASA has also revealed that none of its officials knew that Bushiri was launching a mobile company. It is to their surprise that how can a mobile company be established without them being invited and officials from ICASA not knowing.
As that is not enough, there was no presence of any South African government official during the so called launch of PSB connect.
