Livingstonia Synod and loud-mouthed cleric Reverend Maurice Munthali is just four months old in politics.
But he has already done enough to prove what an opportunist and political wanderer he is.
In those four months, he has been member of three political parties already.
In September he joined Aford.
Perhaps not seeing how his bread would be buttered in a party whose sponsorship is less than shoestring, he quit silently.
Where did he go?
DEPECO, a party being led by Chris Daza and rumoured to be connected to South Africa based Prophet Shephered Bushiri.
Finding no Bushiri money to eat in there and encouraged by a senior traditional leader in the region, Munthali joined MCP last month.
Interestingly the traditional leader who advised him to join MCP has a record of campaining for candidates in elections and all of them have come to a crushing defeat.
It could be that Rev Munthali is heading for a crash, way before he has gained his stripes as a politician.
The doom could be definitive as the party he has joined has a history of failure. Malawi has had five elections in the past 23 years. It has lost all of them.
It will also lose in 2019.
