The National Registration Bureau (NRB) is set to distribute National Identity cards to all Members of Parliament that were registered, on Thursday.
Second Deputy Speaker, Esther Mcheka-Chilenje announced this in Parliament on Wednesday.
In its initial distribution phase, NRB has already distributed the National ID to members of the media, President Peter Mutharika, First-lady Gertrude Mutharika, vice president Saulos Chilima and the second first lady Mary Chilima.
The National IDs are part of public sector reforms being undertaken by the Mutharika administration.
