MSCE 2016 Results Are The Best In 24years Since 1992

msce-limbani-nsapatoThe passrate of 58.32% in the just released 2016 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) results is the highest in more than 20 years, since 1992, falling within a period the pass rate has averaged 37.5%.

The impressive result has come after a streak of above 50% pass rates starting from 2010-2011 when the rate was at 52.99%. This is a good sign within the education system in Malawi, but a lot more needs to be done to cut down the failure rate of 41.68%, which signals a lot of wastage.

There were impressive results as well reported for 2016 PSLCE and 2016 JCE at 77.32% and 77.7% respectively. Kudos to students, teachers, parents and government for contributing towards the positive trend in learning outcomes. We need more fire!!!
