Jubilations In Mzuzu As APM Orders Construction Of Dual Carriageway With Immediate Effect

There is wild excitement in Mzuzu following an order by the State President of the Republic of Malawi who is also President of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to include a dual carriage way road in Mzuzu city in the construction of Mzuzu – Nkhatabay road.

The State President instructed Roads Authority (RA) to include the dual carriageway from Court House to Shoprite Roundabout in Mzuzu.

In December Roads Authority scrapped off the rehabilitation works for the one kilometre dual carriageway due to inadequate of funds for the work. However the president indicated that there will be small surplus from K16.7 billion which can go towards dual carriageway.

On his part, Minister of transport and Public works Jappie Mhango said they are also considering extending the dual carriage to state Lodge Turn-off.“If this is done, then we may extending the period of the works”he said

      You should say ‘I am going to vote for Chakwera’ and NOT ‘We are going to vote for Chakwera’. Talk about yourself!!! You cant speak for other people.
