Much touted Blantyre-based Golden Complex Hotel in the name of Sagecoa Golden Peacock Hotel is operational and only awaiting official inauguration soon.
The hotel’s Deputy General Manager, Derrick Xu said on Tuesday in Blantyre during an interface meeting with Malawi News Agency (MANA) that perfection is what they believe in.
“We believe in total perfection in whatever we do and this is why we seemed to be taking more time to start operating,” Xu said.
Xu added that the state-of- the-art Golden Peacock Hotel is fully operational to serve customers of all classes or status at affordable rates.
The hotel commenced serving its clients in Blantyre and surrounding districts on Monday.
The development is yet another of the country’s historic infrastructural development which serves residents in a more digitalised style than anyone could imagine, according to Xu.
He said the Chinese community is so delighted to incorporate its cultural values with that of local citizens. Xu said that is why the hotel has hired more than 200 locals in various sections of the newly built hotel complex.
Xu explained that employing locals is Golden Peacock Hotel’s commitment to reduce unemployment among Malawians.
He added the Sagecoa Golden Peacock Hotel believes in ensuring that its customers and clients live beautifully and dream passionately.
According to the deputy general manager, the hotel management takes reasonable time to finally open the hotel’s doors because they believe in decency and perfection.
On COVID-19, he said the management is fully aware that safety is government’s number one priority such that the facility is also committed to ensuring that guests and staff are protected within the hotel complex.
At the hotel entrance, every visitor undergoes a full body sanitization with body temperature measured.
