Over 64 Malawi Congress Party (MCP) members in Nkhata Bay district have defected to the Mighty Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) ahead of the forthcoming fresh presidential election.
Mighty DPP’s Director of Logistics, Symon Vuwa Kaunda welcomed the defectors at Tukombo Trading Centre in the district.
In his welcoming remarks, Vuwa Kaunda said: “DPP’s open door policy remains intact. It’s never too late to join the DPP.”
Kaunda, who is also Minister of Tourism, urged People in the district to vote for President Peter Mutharika and his runningmate Atupele Muluzi in the forth coming presidential polls slated for 2 July.
