Malawian Information Communication Technology (ICT) Company, Kawawa Digital Solutions has developed an android application known as ‘Umoyo App’ which provides information about the deadly Covid-19.
Kawawa Digital Solutions Operations Director, Victor Bema said with Umoyo App users will be able to access news articles and other messages related to Covid-19, a deadly disease caused by coronavirus.
Bema said Technology has crucial role to play in fighting against the pandemic which has so far killed three people in the country.
“As an IT firm we realize that Technology has a big role to play in the fight against Covid-19 that’s why we have develop this android application to help in the fight against the pandemic,” said Bema while calling for unity of purpose in fighting the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Malawi has a total number of 56 confirmed cases of Covid-19 thus according to statistics from the Ministry of Health.
