Reunion Insurance Company Celebrates 15th Anniversary

Lilongwe, May 2, Mana: Reunion Insurance Company has described its 15 years of operation in the country as a milestone in insurance industry. 

Reunion Insurance Company Business Development Manager Miller John Joshua said this to Malawi News Agency (Mana) in Lilongwe on Saturday as the company would be celebrating its 15th Anniversary still in-existence in the business industry on May 3, 2020.

He said it was pleasing to look at great accomplishment the company has so far achieved.

 “It was interesting to look back at the many great accomplishments achieved in the last 15 years, and it is exiting to look forward to many new things that will be accomplished in the decade and more years ahead,” Joshua said.

The Business Manager added that Reunion Company has become stronger and more efficient in areas they deal in as well as the passion, professionalism and dedication; he described this as an amazing sign for a successful organisation.

“With a staff compliment of 65, Reunion has been one of the most steadily growing insurance companies in Malawi. Our positivity has been reflecting clearly in our growth rates as the saying goes slow and steady win the race, he added.

 Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr Dorothy Chapeyama cherishes the support of all the clients, staff and business partners for the integral role each one has played in the 15 years saying they are keys to company’s future growth.

“As we continue helping the nation with employment opportunities, we are extensively investing in modern technology and continually embracing new methods and platforms of servicing our clients in system and equipment upgrade, with the teamwork we remain grateful,” she explained.

According to Chapeyama said in celebrating the  day, over the past years Reunion has been initiating various programmes  to Malawians through donations to community activities,  for instance in literacy programmes, natural disaster and economic activities  among other as one way of giving back to the communities.

“This year has been somehow hardhearted; we recognized that the global pandemic COVID- 19 has brought many challenges. We are conscious that these are unsettling times which have affected the business environment and will continue to impact our personal and professional lives,” the CEO added.

Reunion Company is one of the indigenous Malawian General Insurance Company well-known for professionalism and efficiency in handling and underwritings in all areas of operation.

It was established on May 3, 2005 and the Company has been adding value to the insurance industry in the country.

 Reunion assures customers to remain supportive and flexible saying they value well-being and treasure the trust they have on customers and will continue to act in accordance with directive of Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) in the fight of the pandemic.
