Malawi Covid-19 Cases Now At 38

Malawi government through the Ministry of Health has announced a new convid-19 case bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 38 in Malawi, including three deaths.

Minister of Health Jappie Mhango announced the new case on Saturday during a press briefing held at Mzuzu Central Hospital.  He said the victim is a Malawian lady aged 35 from Chiputula in Mzuzu city.

“The lady is a contact with a very first Covid-19 case from Kaliyeka in Lilongwe and she has no history of travel outside Malawi,” said Mhango adding that health officials are tracing all contacts of the person to be isolated.

Meanwhile, out of the 38 confirmed cases 9 people have successfully recovered, 3  lost their lives while 26 cases are still active thus according to Ministry of Health.
