Malawi’s Former Vice President, Dr. Cassim Chilumpha has endorsed President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika of governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for the July, 2 Fresh Presidential elections.
The former Vice President Dr. Chilumpha, who is also President for Assembly for Democracy and Development (ADD), announced his support for Mutharika on Friday through a statement.
Chilumpha said the decision to support President Mutharika has been made scrutinizing all presidential candidates for the fresh presidential polls.
“After a thorough scrutinization of all the presidential candidates, I and the ADD have reached a decision to endorse the candidature of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika,” said Dr. Chilumpha
President Mutharika will represent UDF-DPP alliance in the much awaited fresh presidential elections.
In February 3, the constitution court in Lilongwe nullified May 2021 Presidential elections and ordered Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to conduct fresh presidential polls.
Chilumpha is nobody in Malawi political circles in the current circumstances. He was a concubine of Gilzelder who is woman mfiti of DPP and useless so called secretary general of this dying party.
Chilumpha is a lunatic and enstranged personal. Nobody in stable mentality would join DPP.
He is after economic gain as he is bankrupt.
He has tried to prop up his status in the contemporary Malawi but nobody wants anything to with this lunatic.
