The CCAP Blantyre synod through is in a fundraising drive to construct leadership development centre and has called on well wishers to help.The synod has already started the ball rolling by organising a 42 km big walk with the aim of raising awareness to Christians and well wishers for their help.
The big walk which started from the synod offices at HHI in Blantyre and ended at Thyolo CCAP was attended by different leaders and members of the synod including the moderator Reverend Masauko Lyson Mbolembole, Reverend Paul Mawaya, of St Andrews CCAP in Mulanje who is also the fundraising chair for the partnership committee among others.
According Mbolembole, the synod is promoting the project with the assurance that it is through partnership that the church is developed in many ways.
Mbolembole encouraged CCAP Christians across the synod to take ownership of the project and assist in all ways possible in implementing the initiative.
In his remarks the chairperson of the partnership committee Dr Davies Lanjesi said the big walk was organised in order to show the commitment that the synod has in fulfilling the vision and as a way of calling for support from all Christians in the synod and well wishers.
Dr Lanjesi said they are planning to construct the partnership center with the funding from Christians hence encouraged all members of the CCAP Blantyre synod to support the project.
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE?
All well wishers are encouraged to deposit their contribution into the following bank account:

Account Number 1655598.
They should write their church membership name as the depositor and add letters”LDC” at the end of their mobile number for easy reconciliation.
A member of the Resource Mobilisation Team will contact them to confirm their details.
While any contribution amount will be appreciated, those who will contribute atleast MK30,000 within six months will have their name included on a list of contributors that will be printed in the special room at the Development Centre.
The account signatories are the Vice chair of the committee, The Treasurer and one Committee member.
Such structure has facilitated full accountability of all funds for the Partnership Committee.
The net income realized from the Leadership Development Centre will be allocated to three core areas as follows: Church Pastors- improvement of welfare for pastors and Subsidy of Training costs of pastors at Zomba Theological College, Maintenance of Leadership Development Centre and Funding Partnership Programs.
