One of the country’s leading commercial banks Standard Bank yesterday spoiled media gurus to food, drinks on top of giving out shopping vouchers worth K200,000 for Game, Shoprite and Metro as part of their celebration marking 45 years of existence in Malawi.

The party which took place at the bank’s headquarters in Blantyre saw editors and reporters from online, print and electronic sharing lighter moments out of their hectic news rooms.

Speaking during the occasion, Head of Marketing for the Bank Chimwemwe Matonga said they decided to hold the event as a way of appreciating the role media has played in as far as disseminating of the banks information is concerned.

He said media has not only bridged them with their customers but also help the bank to discover the needs of their customers through them.
“With regard to this, we will remain the major sponsor of the Association of Business journalist (ABJ) financially through trainings and international trips,” promised Matonga
He said for the past 45 years the Bank has managed to transform the banking industry from a mere banking and serving to a more personalized banking where things can be done while at home.

He however outlined that the bank has planned to continue sponsoring sports, healthy industry and environment.

He added “Apart from bringing innovative services to Malawians; we also intend to increase number of Malawians that are banked through or mobile banking services in areas where we do not have branches.”To date the bank has 26 branches and employs over 720 people across Malawi.

    So iff you want to know how much power you will need for certain devices annd equipment,
    read on. There is no such thing as being the ultimate digital camera.
    Battdries nowadays are more environmental friendly than a couple years
    ago, but they still have components that are dangerous
    to the environment so dead batteries annd batteries parts should be disposed of in their proper
    places.
