A very short stint at the political helm of Mzimba Central Constituency has been enough for Joseph Mabvuto Kachali to win the peoples’ hearts and gain nomination to run again on Peoples Party’s ticket unopposed.

This has come barely few days after Vice President Khumbo Kachali and Reverend Malani Mtonga respectively win nomination for Mzimba South West and Karonga South unopposed.

Joseph Mabvuto Kachali became a member of parliament over a year ago during the by-elections that were held in Mzimba Central to replace the late Professor Donton Mkandawire.

Some of the PP supporters who nominated Mabvuto Kachali told Malawi Voice that the youthful legislator has been awarded a second chance as “he has proven to be a development oriented person”.

The ruling PP is expected to hold similar exercise in Chitipa, Karonga, Likoma and Nkhatabay on December 21, while in Rumphi, Mzuzu and Mzimba primaries will be held on December 22.
