Airtel To Invest 2 Billion FCFA To Support National Football League In Gabon
Libreville , Gabon, Airtel Gabon has committed to fund up to 2 billion FCFA, to support the first division national football championship in Gabon . The sponsorship deal was signed at the headquarters of Airtel GABON in Libreville.
The President of the JA LINAF Birinda and Managing Director of Airtel Gabon , Antoine Pamboro oversaw the sponsorship ceremony which saw a deal signed for three consecutive seasons by Airtel. The CEO of Airtel Africa, Christian DE FARIA and Tiémoko Coulibaly, CEO for the Francophone Africa
Antoine Pamboro , the Managing Director of Airtel Gabon said: “Improving the standards of the first division championships is an ambitious project that requires financial support and the state cannot undertake this excellent project on its own. This is why Airtel, which shares common goals with the Government in regards to improving soccer standards has decided to support the LINAF. “
From the start of the championship this season, Airtel Gabon will undertake to pay the sum of Two billion ( 2,000,000,000 ) CFA Francs releasable over three ( 3) years.
This sponsorship agreement reaffirms Airtel’s commitment to participate in the development of the youth in Gabon through the improvement of national football standards.
