FAMA finals to take place on April 28th
Fellowship Association of Malawi (FAMA) has announced that the K12.5 Million top 8 soccer Bonanza will be played on April 28th at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
The final match will involve Bullets F.C and Police outfit Blue Eagles was supposed to be played on April 7th but was cancelled following the death of Malawi leader Bingu wa Mutharika.
FAMA organizing Chair Japhet Majekete said the programme for the day remains unchanged.
Among the activities is the curtain raiser match involving the Central Region Rivals Civo and Silver Strikers.
Meanwhile, Bullets F.C has re-announced that 60% of the prize money for the FAMA champions will be shared among the players if they win the title.
He said this is part of motivating the players to at least bring joy to the team which has spent over seven seasons without grabbing ay silverware.
The champions for FAMA top 8 bonanza will cut home K3 million while the runners up gets K1 million with the third team receiving K500,000.00.
Red Lions finished on third position after seeing off Epac F.C 2-1.
